G&G Electric

Our Story

Forty Years on Weatherford Highway

G&G Electric was founded in Granbury in 1986 by John Gibbs and Danny Garrett — the two G's. What began as a small electrical contracting company taking on any project it could find grew, job by job, into the largest electrical contractor in Granbury and Hood County. In the 1990s, Terry Taylor joined the ownership team, and the three of them built the company on things that don't need a marketing department: honest pricing, reliable work, and showing up for the community they lived in.

In 2025, after decades of leadership, Garrett and Taylor retired and passed the torch to new local ownership — with the long-term management team and the same electricians staying right where they were. The names on the paperwork changed. The company you call didn't.

Four decades in, G&G is still based in Granbury, still locally owned, and still doing the thing it was founded to do.

Who We Are

Big Enough to Show Up. Small Enough to Answer.

Today G&G runs 36 electricians and 25 service vehicles, with five people in the office on Weatherford Highway. That's a large bench for this part of Texas — large enough that we handle commercial construction and new subdivisions alongside residential service, and large enough that a full-house rewire and a single dead outlet both get a licensed electrician.

The company holds TECL #40498 and is licensed, insured, and bonded. Every job runs under a licensed electrician.

We're members of the Granbury Chamber of Commerce, and we've been voted Best of Hood County. You'll see our trucks at the Home & Garden Show, and hear us during Granbury High School football broadcasts this fall.
